Tamarindo/Guanacaste to Monteverde Rafting Tenorio River

Get your adrenaline pumping with this exciting white water rafting adventure on the way from Guanacaste up to Monteverde! Costa Rica is well known as the whitewater rafting capital of the world due to its abundant and exciting rivers and its growing number of outdoor enthusiasts love rafting the Tenorio River.

We'll pick you up from your hotel on the Pacific Coast and drive across the rustic Costa Rican back roads, through gorgeous mountains and quaint villages until we reach our Tenorio River Center.

You'll then take a scenic 4x4 ride to the river put-in at the bridge over the Tenorio River.

Once you are at the Tenorio River, your guide will give you thorough instructions on rafting including safety tips and technical instructions before heading out on your 2 and a half-hour hour journey down one of Costa Rica’s most famous rivers!

You’ll witness the impressive canyon of the Tenorio River along with many different types of flora and fauna- lush greenery, vines, birds, monkeys and other types of wildlife.

You’ll experience over 20 thrilling rapids, and finish the tour off with a chance to see the breathtakingCascabel Falls waterfall – a 12-ft drop!

After your Costa Rica rafting tour is over, you will have an opportunity to change your clothing, enjoy a delicious lunch and then head to your next destination up in the Cloud Forests of Monteverde!

This is a long, adventurous travel day, but you will love this way of traveling with rafting on the way!
