Veragua Rainforest Bird Watching

USD $100.00
  • Duration: 7 Hours (approx.)
  • Location: Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Talamanca

Connected with Central America’s largest protected rain forest, the Veragua Rainforest is located in the hills overlooking Limón. Upon arrival, you will be immersed in the breathtaking rainforest. Your nature experience begins as a professional guide introduces you to the snakes of the Caribbean coast (they are behind glass) and you stroll along easily-accessible trails to the aerial tram. The Frog Habitat is one of the world’s largest frog exhibits, and the Butterfly Garden swarms with the world’s most colorful butterflies.

You will then enter an open-air Sky Gondola that takes you through the primary rain forest past 300-year-old trees and down to the riverbank. You will then walk the Trail of the Giants or hike to the 60-foot Puma Waterfall. Ride the tram to the top station and visit the biological research station.

Following a hot lunch (Not included, available for an extra cost), you will experience all the adventure of the Original Canopy Tour® as you journey through the treetops over 11 traverses on a patented, safe dual-line system. This system allows you to silently glide through the different levels of the rainforest. You will have views as far as the eye can see, as the reserve neighbors the largest park in Central America.
