Corcovado National Park is one pof the only places where you can see Jaguars, giant anteaters, hundreds of white-lipped peccaries, tapers, red brocket deer, margay cats, spider monkeys, and a host of rare rain forest animals inhabit the vast reaches while poisonous frogs, snakes. and other lizards live surrounding the crocodile-filled lagoon at the park’s center.

Peninsula de Osa Costa Rica

Day 1

After picking you up at your hotel San Jose the shared shuttle will take you to Sierpe, from where you will go by boat to Drake Bay, to your selected hotel of Jinetes de Osa orAlgulia de Osa  If you do not yet have a hotel for the night before you depart  we recommend Garden Inn La Sabana which we can arrange for you

Day 2

The next day, you will do a guided tour to the Corcovado National Park, home to a spectacular array of wildlife. The park has been referred to as “the most biologically intense place on Earth” by National Geographic! You may be able to observe monkeys, sloths, anteaters, peccaries, raccoons, tapirs, toucans, scarlet macaws and many more! More than 400 different species of birds and aprox. 140 different species of mammals can be found here. If you are very lucky, you may even spot a puma or jaguar! After a wonderful day in the Corcovado National Park, you can enjoy a delicious dinner at your hotel.

Day 3

The second tour included in this package is a Caño Island snorkeling tour. The Caño Island Biological Reserve has an amazing marine biodiversity. If you visit in the right season, you may be able to observe the migrations of the whale sharks and humpback whales, which is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! But there is much more to this beautiful island: it is surrounded by 5 platforms of coral reefs, therefore it is a paradise for snorkelers and divers. Of course, you will also have time to relax on the beautiful beach and to watch birds.

Day 4

On this day you will arise early, have a nice breakfast and depart this amazing piece of paradise. The package includes onward transportation to San Jose.  Or you can choose the option to fly to/from and to San Jose.

The Jinetes (pronounced “hinetes”) de Osa naturally fits into the life of Drake Bay, as if it were a part of the landscape. The resort consists of three buildings located on the beach and twenty acres of rain forest. Currently, the resort has 9 rooms in two of the three buildings and a dining room and kitchen in the third.

The rooms are simple, comfortable and clean. At night, the fresh tropical breeze carries the sound of the ocean into your room; a most effective cure for stress based insomnia.
